London (II)

I’m breathing in London skies,
trying to imagine that you are here.

Filling the absence besides me.

My memories of you
are like a map of longing
with no beginning and no end

just your endless cityscapes
playing like mixtapes in my mind.

I will always miss the almosts
that became nevers between us

and you will always be
my city of regret,

populated by a million missed chances
and a thousand unspoken somethings
that belie the love beneath.
